Illegal Trade: Illegal vehicle, teak and goods seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th and 27th of October, illegal vehicle, teak, Bopp Film, foodstuffs and construction materials were seized at the Kyweye Combined Checkpoint and in Sagaing Township as well as at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint and in the Khabaung forest reserve of Taungoo district.

In total, illegal vehicle, teak and goods worth over 48 million Kyats were confiscated. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
