Functioning tasks: MoI Union Minister inspects functions of MRTV

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn had lunch together with MRTV staff in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday and looked into functioning tasks.

The Union Minister and party arrived at MRTV in Nay Pyi Taw Tatkone and cordially met the staffs in the mess hall and had lunch together. At the Conference Room, the Director General of Myanma Radio and Television U Ye Naing reported on the allocation for the appointment of 14 news readers for MRTV, MRTV-HD, MRTV-News, MRTV Farmers and MRTV Sports and the pre-recorded news reporting video clips of the staffs were shown.

In response to the reports, the Union Minister said them to be proud of taking the important tasks for presenting news on the respective channels of MRTV which is the state-owned media. He called for constantly practices in broadcasting programs for correct pronunciation, dress styles and positure and presented cash for the staff.

The Union Minister and party then arrived at the News Studio that is being constructed for MRTV-News Channel. There, officials reported on the progress of works on which the Union Minister called for implementing the tasks meeting set standard.

At the Auditorium, the Union Minister and party observed the full-dress rehearsal of the modern music band of MRTV which is formed to make entertainments in the Ministries of Nay Pyi Taw. It was followed by the luck draw program for the MRTV staff and the Union Minister presented prizes for 10 winning staffs. He then cordially met with the staff and called for serving the tasks happily.

The Union Minister and party then visited football ground in MRTV and observed training and selecting athletes for the Ministry of Information Football Team to participate in the Prime Minister’s Cup Inter ministries Men’s Football Tournament in commemoration of the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day and presented energy drinks and eggs.
