Preparations for Election: Meeting to get correct voter list in Bago Region

A coordination meeting to verify the ground population list for the correct voter lists in Bago Region was held on Thursday.

At the meeting in Bago Township, Union Minister for Immigration and Population U Myint Kyaing highlighted projects including the Pankhin Project issuing the National Registration Card (NRC) necessary for the voters to cast their ballots in the election. He also stressed the Ministry’s cooperation with the election commission and general administration department.

Only the cooperation between the ministry, election and general administration department will bring the complete and correct voter lists, the Union Minister added. Also, Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win reported on the ongoing processes and cooperation to get the complete and correct voter lists in the Region. This coordination meeting concluded with remarks by the Union Minister, stressing to complete the correct voter lists in a timely manner.
