COVID-19 Update: 139 new cases with 1 death reported on October 24

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 139 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Monday after testing 8,920 patients within 24 hours.

At the time of the report, there’s a patient who died due to the disease while 182 patients have recovered.

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 630,742 with 19,477 deaths and 604,500 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, France, Germany, Brazil, the Republic of Korea, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan and Russian Federation, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:38pm CEST, 24 October 2022, there have been over 624 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.55 million deaths.
