Export of Agricultural products:Agricultural exports amounted to over 1.7bln USD

From April to September in 2022-2023 fiscal year, the agricultural products were exported to the abroad through border check point and by sea route. A total of 1.838 million tonneswere exported by water way and 1.447 million tonnes of agricultural products were exported through border gates.

During the first 6 months of 2022-2023 fiscal year, the value of agricultural exports was amounted to over 1,711 million USD.

Min Aung Aye, Director, Department of Trade, said " The agricultural products valued at over 1.711 billion USD have been exported to abroad during the first 6 months. The agricultural products such as rice, corns, beans and pulses and rubber are mainly exported.  Rice is mostly exported to China, Philippines, Spain, Italy, Poland and Belgium.Corns are mainly exported to Thailand,Philippines, Viet Nam, Bangladesh and China. The rubber is exported to China, Malaysia and Thailand."

Besides, various kind of sesame, coffee seeds and other kinds of agricultural products could be exported to abroad. The related departments are also implementing to growquality seeds and to get irrigated water and inputs for the high yield to be able to export more agricultural products to the international markets.
