Work coordination meeting: Meeting to hold state level Kathina robe offering ceremony

A coordination meeting of the Leading Committee on Organizing the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony for 2022 of the State Administration Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar took place at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on Wednesday, with the opening remark delivered by the Chairman of the Leading Committee Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko.

In his opening remark, the Chairman of Leading Committee Union Minister U Ko Ko said the Kathina robe offering ceremony was organized by the government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar will be held at 9:30 AM on 2nd November, 2022 in the Thathana Maha Beikman  at the precinct of Uppatasanti Pagoda, Nay Pyi Taw.

As the Kathina robe offering ceremony will be fulfilled the needs of four prerequisites for the MaSoeYeinTaikThit Monastery which is a Pariyatti learning center, the well wishers led by the State Administration Council, Union Level Organizations, Union Ministries and Nay Pyi Taw will be delightful immeasurably.

This year, the MaSoeYeinTaikThit Monastery has been selected as the Kathina robes accepted monastery. A total of 27 Sayadawgyis including the 2 Sayadawgyis led by the Chairman of State Sanghamahanayaka Committee, 10 local invited Sayadawgyis who are the members of the Ovadacariyaof Uppatasanti Pagoda, 3 Sayadawgyis of State Central Working Committee of the Sangha, 5 members of Nay Pyi Taw Sanghanayaka Committee, 7 Sayadawgyis from the Kathina robe accepted monastery will be invited and offered the Kathina Robe and offertories.

The leading committee and the working committee have been formed by the office of the State Administration Council to successfully hold the Kathina Robe Offering Ceremony for 2022 of the State Administration Council.

The ministry also formed 12 subcommittees on 7th October 2022 for systematic carrying out of the assigned duties.

Next, the chairman of working committee deputy minister for religious affairs and culture U Aye Tun clarified the disadvantages found in the previous Kathina robe offering ceremony, implementations upon the suggestions, the arrangements made to successfully hold the this year ceremony with power point, the chairmen of the subcommittees reported the implementations carried out by the relevant subcommittee with power point and the officials from the ministries discussed and gave suggestions, it’s learnt.
