2022 Mid-Year Myanma Gems Emporium: SAC Chairman attends the opening ceremony

2022 Mid-Year Myanma Gems Emporium commenced in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the opening ceremony at Mani Yadana Jade Hall, and viewed the documentary video on production process of various jewelry and preparations for organizing the 2022 Mid-Year Myanma Gems Emporium.

The Prime Minister and party later inspected the displays of jade, gem and pearl lots to be sold at the emporium, and gave instructions.

The floor price for pearl lots have been designated in the US dollars and the foreign merchants can use USD, Yuan and Baht for payment while the local merchants have to pay in kyats. For the jade lots, the floor price was set in Euro and foreign merchants can pay in USD, Euro, Yuan and Baht as well as kyats for local merchants.

The minimum floor price for pearl lots is set at 1,000 USD and that of the gem lots is at 500 Euro. For the finished jade lots, the minimum floor price is set at 1,000 Euro while 5,000 Euro is set for raw jade lots.

A total of 400 pearl lots, 120 gem lots and 2,150 jade lots are being put on sold through open tender system at 2022 Mid-Year Myanma Gems Emporium which will be held from 19th to 25th October.
