Dinner in honour: PM attends a dinner in honor of 23rd MTCPAC

The Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min AungHlaing graced the presentation ceremony of certificates of honour and dinner in honor of the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition hosted at Myanmar International Convention Center (2) Nay Pyi Taw in the evening on October 18.

Also present on the occasion were Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister, SAC Vice Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, SAC council members and wives, union ministers and wives, union level officials, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command, deputy minister, officials concerned of competition organizing steering committee, work committee and sub committees, the supporting groups from the relevant ministries, judges, teams’ administrative persons and coaches and responsible persons and contestant artistes from the regions and states.In his remark of honur, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister said that the State Administration Council have made endeavors for the security of the country, rule of law, national unity, economic development of the country plus education, health and cultural affairs since the begining of taking state responsibilities and the endeavors will be continued in the future as well. 

The state is implementing the peaceful and developed nation by setting the objectives such as to respect and promote the customs and traditions of all National peoples and ensure a strong and dynamic Union spirit, the genuine spirit of patriotism.

So, the Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition which had organized yearly and was suspended for years was reinstated to uplift national prestige and integrity and to preserve the cultural heritage and national characteristics, to discover, preserve and uplift the traditional cultural heritage of performing arts of ethnic nationals and national cultural characteristics, to preserve traditional cultural performing arts in order to further revitalize adoration of the State and hand it down to new generation youths and to contribute much to the restoration of perpetual peace.

When it comes to say being a peaceful and prospestrous country, using the natural resources of the country productively and perpetuating traditional cultural heritages inherited from the course of long history of the country, it’s a matter demanding the united effort of all national brethren.

The SAC chairman Prime Minister pointed out that according to the book of “Myanmar Music Stream” written by Sandaya U Hla Htut, there was an era when the classic music emerged in the world as well as in Myanmar. Myanmar literati minister PadethaYaza and German musician Bach were the contempary classic musicians in early 18th century, Duke of SiThe Village U Aung Gyi and English water music composer FrederickHandel composed their classic songs.

Also when German musician Mozart composed the Magic Flute opera, Let We Thondara U Myat San wrote the “Mezar Taung Che” long poem and Beethoven and MyawadyMingyi U Sa, Polish classic pianist Chopin and Nanmadaw Ma Mya Lay created the classic music and songs in the same era etc.

Next, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister gave the certificate of honor to Daw Thin ThinMyat on behalf of judges on singing competition, U Aung Tin Win on behalf of judges on dancing, U Maung Maung Latt on behalf of judges on composing and U Aung Kein on behalf of judges on playing.

The Patron of the Leading Committee Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, gave the certificate of honor to the team administrative persons from the regions and states and the masters of ceremony.

Then, Judge Myinmu Maung Naing Moe extended words of thanks.Afterward, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister and the attendees to the occasion enjoyed the dinner together.Before and during the dinner, the prize winners in the performing arts competition and the artistes from the ministry of religious affairs and culture entertained with the music and dances.After the dinner in honor, the chairman of state administration council prime minister and wife cordially greeted the attendees, it’s learnt.
