





Myanma Oil and Gas enterprise of the Ministry of Energy is selling CNG gas to YBS buses, taxis and the CNG used vehicles by opening CNG filling stations in Yangon region and about 17 million cubic feet of CNG gas are sold and distributed per day.
The natural gas produced from Nyaungdon and MaU bin gas and oil field is being sold and distributed.
Kyaw Thura Win, General Manager, Compressed Natural Gas Department said "Among the 41 CNG gas filling stations in Yangon Region, we have 6 filling stations that sell with boxer trucks. 35 stations are sold through pipe lines. Currently, a boxer truck station can’t be opened temporarily and all 40 CNG shops are being operated daily from 5 am to 9 pm. 1kg is priced at 273 kyats as the previous price. Around 17 million cubic feet of CNG gas is distributed and sold per day. "
Currently, a total of more than 20,000 CNG used YBS buses and taxis are running in Yangon region daily.
