23rd MTCPAC (Central Level): VSG enjoys “YoteSone” Theatrical Group Contest

Parton of the Leading Committee for Organizing the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended “YoteSone” theatrical group contest of the competition at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture on Thursday.

Zeyathiri YoteSone group representing Sagaing Region competed in “YoteSone”theatrical group competition of amateur level (first class) contest with “NgaPadaAtkhaya” play.

The Vice Senior General enjoyed the contest together with the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, the Nay Pyi Taw Command Commander, the deputy ministers, officials and panel of judges. Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition started to be held in 1993 and in 1998, the YoteSone” theatrical competition began with the play "Vidhura" and the puppetry art which had been faded away for a certain period, had been revitalized.

YoteSone” theatrical contest is included in the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts in order to preserve Myanmar traditional cultural heritages and to expose Myanmar's puppetry arts.
