Choice of military arms: SG attends choice of military arms for cadets

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the choice of military arms for cadets of the 65th Intake of Defence Services Academy at DSA in Pyin Oo Lwin, Thursday.

Also present at the ceremony together with the Senior General were Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung, Command-er-in-Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief, the Commander of Central Command, the commandant of DSA and officials.

They met cadets individually and chose suitable corps of the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) for the cadets depending on their outstanding performances in literature and military subjects, as well as their hobbies, diligence and perseverance.

In the afternoon, the Senior General and party had lunch together with cadets at the mess hall of the BayintNaung Battalion, cordially greeting and encouragingthem.T

he Senior General and party then visited local miliary hospital in PyinOoLwin and asked about the individual injuries and treatments of Tatmadaw officer, other rank and Myanmar Police Force member and militia (Resident) members who got injuries while serving duties for the State’s peace, stability, security and the Rule of Law and fulfilled the needs and provided food assistance.

The Senior General then looked into construction of the Radiotherapy and Cancer Treatment Unit in the compound of the hospital. In response to the reports of officials, he stressed the needs on installation of water and fire alarm systems and construction of the building meeting the set standards with the target time.

They then arrived at the National Kandawgyi Gardens and looked into inflow of water into the lake, greening the Gardens and beautifying the flowery plants.
