Potato Market : Price stable for wholesale and retail sale

Currently, the potato market is stable at fair prices – wholesale, retail sale and buying condition in Yangon Region is stable, according to an owner of commodity house and a retailer.

Khin Khin San, Aung Kaung Si Wholesale Center, said "For the time being, there is no fluctuation of potato price in the market. We receive 20,000 viss of potatoes on average per day. Most of the retailers and wholesalers come from Insein, Mingaladon, Puzundaung, North and South Dagon and Hlaingthayar townships."

Retailer, Mya Nandar Market, Tin Tin Win, said "I come here to buy potatoes to resell at Mya Nandar market in North Okkalapa Township. Price has dropped a little this year and is about 1,600 Kyats for a viss. There are 100 viss of potatoes I resell a day."

It’s reported that there are about 20,000 viss of potatoes sold at Bayint Naung Wholesale Centre every day.
