Efforts for MSMEs development: Union Minister and Chief Minister inspected factories

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko viewed and encouraged DoneByan wheat flour mill plant in Mandalay industrial zone and Toe Pwar Mann fertilizer factory in the afternoon on 2nd October.

First, the union minister and Mandalay Region chief minister arrived at DoneByan wheat flour mill plant and the factory in-charge U Khun Aung San explained the history of the mill plant, machine capacity, structure of workforce, increased production and distribution by year, market competition with the import wheat flour and the chief minister gave necessary suggestions and coordinated requirements.

Then, the union minister said that the emphasis on the development of micro small and medium enterprises which facilitate for the economic development of the country has been instructed.

The state media will put efforts for the widely spreading of information regarding with the implementations for the development of the industrial zones. The Mandalay Region Chief Minister pledged to emphasize the infrastructure development of the industrial zones.Then, the union minister, chief minister and officials concerned viewed around the factory and the responsible persons explained the work process.

DoneByan wheat flour mill plant initiated with the production rate of 2.5 tons per day in 1980. In 1983, the production rate increased into 15 tons per day. In 1994, 40 tons per day and 200 tons in 2004 and from January, 2018, the mill plant has been producing 220 tons a day.

At the same time, the mill plant in Yangon branch also is producing 960 tons per day and the factories of the company are production totaling 1180 tons daily. The mill plant has been awarded the outstanding prize of Mandalay industrial zone in 2015. The wheat flour produced by the company covered 90% of nationwide market.

Afterward, the union minister, chief minister and officials visited Toe Pwar Mann Fertilizer factory and viewed the production of various types of fertilizers and production processes and the responsible persons from the factory explained the questions, it’s reported.
