Plans For Economic Development: Meeting On The State Economic Promotion Fund Held

A coordination meeting on 8 billion kyats of financial assistance to Shan State Government from the State economic promotion fund was held at the State Government Office in Taunggyi on Thursday.

At the meeting, Shan State Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun said that the Shan State Government received 8 billion kyats fund to revitalize the state economy and the socio-economic life of the people that have been affected by COVID-19 under the guidance of the SAC.

He discussed to report the detail plans to be implemented by departments to effectively invest in agriculture, livestock breeding, manufacturing  and other business enterprises in Shan State with the state economic promotion fund and called for giving suggestions on using the fund in line with procedures to effectively carry out the development of the state.

Officials of the State Agricultural Department, the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department, the Fisheries Department, the Rural Development Department and the State Cooperatives Department   reported respectively on which the State Chief Minister fulfilled the needs.
