Inspection Tour: Union Minister for Construction makes inspections in Kayin State

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay made inspections in Kayin State.

First, at the new Attayan Bridge construction site, the Union Minister heard reports on the the new Attayan Bridge and Gyaing (Zartabyin) Bridge construction process as well as bridge construction knowledge sharing with the new generation engineers.

In his response, the Union Minister stressed importance of bridge construction knowledge sharing programme for the new generation engineers, and called on officials to complete the construction in time without damaging the environment.

And, he inspected construction of the new Attayan Bridge which is designed to be 480 meters long and set to be completed in April 2025 with JICA ODA Loan.

Also, the Union Minister inspected condition of the old Gyaing (Zartabyin) Bridge and construction of the new one which will be 797 meters long and set to be completed in April 2025 with JICA ODA Loan.

The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to the 580 meters long Gyaing (Kawkareik) Bridge construction site, heard reports and called on officials to complete the construction process in March 2023 with JICA ODA Loan.

Also, in Hpa-An Township, the Union Minister inspected construction of a bypass and the site where a roundabout will be constructed. He also met with concerned officials and staff under the Ministry and heard reports on work process and financial and staff affairs.

The Union Minister urged the attendees to follow rules and regulations and fulfilled the requirements. Also, he inspected condition of the Thanlwin Bridge (Hpa-An) and the Hpa-An-Thaton road maintenance and gave necessary instructions.
