Agriculture Sector: Dy Minister inspects Linzin Dam for irrigation

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi made an inspection in Minbu District of Magway Region.

At the Linzin Dam in Linzin Village of Salin Township, the Deputy Minister heard reports on distribution of water from the Linzin Dam, monsoon paddy cultivation in Linzin Dam irrigation areas and Linzin Dam area and water inflow.

After hearing the reports, the Deputy Minister and officials inspected the Dam. It’s learnt that Linzin Dam was built since the time of ancient Myanmar kings and has been renovated throughout the successive eras for use. Its canal system has been rebuilt at present.
