Education Sector: Chief Minster attends opening of new school building

Shan State Chief Minister Dr. Kyaw Tun and many other officials attended the opening of a new school building at the Dat Taw Ye-U sub basic education high school in Naungtaw Village-tract in Nyaungshwe Township of southern Shan State and ceremonially opened the building.

In his speech, the Chief Minister expressed the state’s efforts for rural infrastructure development, capacity building, smooth transportation, water and electricity access and village development projects as well as cash for work programme.

The Chief Minister also handed over 10 million Kyats donated by the Shan State Government and also, officials and well-wishers donated cash to the school.

It’s learnt that construction of this new school building was funded by the state with 10 million Kyats and by the village with 4.33 million Kyats. On the same day, the Chief Minister inspected the community based tourism sites in Inne and Lwalkhaw villages.
