





Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko held a meeting with the members of Advisory Board for Myanmar Calander in Yangon on Saturday.
The Union Minister said the 70th Plenary Session of the Advisory Board, held in March, adopted to open a Post-Graduate Diploma Course on Myanmar Calander, and the adoption was submitted to the State Administration Council in June.
With the guidance of the SAC Chairman, the diploma course will be conducted for one and a half year period. He urged officials to make discussion on designation of admission qualification including written and oral answers, drafting the curriculum and compiling thesis.
He stressed that it is the profound traditional heritage, and it is important not to be extinction. Officials reported on the arrangements for curriculum and text books. Later in the day, the Union Minister met with the Executive Committee members of Myanmar Artists Organization (Central) and discussed matters to select new members of the Executive Committee.
The meeting discussed the extension of the registration and extended formation of the organization not only for the artists and sculptors but also to include the experts from ten Myanmar traditional arts and crafts.
