Study Tour: Myanmar delegation tours in Ulan-Ude

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and delegation members visited Soviet Square in Ulan-Ude on Saturday.

Head of the Republic of Buryatia Aleksey Sambuyevich explained about the square. The delegation later visited the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Science.

The Director of the Academy explained the displays of ancient language, literature, culture and arts, paintings, Buddhist Tripitaka Teachings in Tibetan script, ancient astronomical treatises, documents on evolution process of Tibetan and Mongolian languages, and systematic preservation of ancient writing tablets including toddy palm writing tablets from Myanmar.

The Prime Minister and party later proceeded to the Cancer Treatment Unit of Nuclear Medicine Center, where the Health Minister of the Republic of Buryatia explained about the diagnosis and treatment by radiotherapy and capabilities of the equipment.

The Prime Minister and party later arrived at Locomotive and Car Repair Plant in Ulan-Ude, and the Transport Minister of Buryatia explained the manufacturing and repair of various locomotives, the capabilities and installation of engine parts.
