Land Management Meeting: Taninthayi Region CM attended land management meeting

Taninthayi Region vacant, fallow and virgin lands management committee held its (8/2022) work coordination meeting at the meeting hall of the region government office, Dawei Township on Friday.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister U Myat Ko said that there are two issues on the vacant, fallow and virgin lands including application for land permit to cultivate in small scale and the traditional cultivated land since the ancestors are applied when the land possession issues come out.

Regarding with the vacant, fallow and virgin lands, there were disputes among the relevant departments, farmers and public, the departments are urged to extend operation to issue form-7 systematically and the committee members need to discuss and give suggestion.

Next, the secretary of region vacant, fallow and virgin lands management committee, region head officer of farmland management and statistics director U San Lin Oo clarified the implementation regarding the vacant, fallow and virgin lands management and the committee supplemented necessaries and chief minister coordinated requirements on the discussions and reports, it’s learnt.
