Oil Sales in affordable price: Oil sales at affordable prices for the departmental staffs

With the supervision of the Department of Consumer Affairs under the Ministry of Commerce and with the help of the Myanmar Edible Oil Dealers' Association, Diamond Dragon Company is selling Yarthetpan Brand edible oil for one person per viss for public service personnel and their families from Yangon City Development Committee at affordable prices.

Aiming to support the basic needs of the staffs and their families of Yangon City Development Committee, Diamond Dragon Company is selling the Yarthetpan Brand edible oil at an affordable price than the market price.

Director, Yangon City Development Committee, Hla May Oo said "Edible oil is being sold via mobile market truck for departmental staffs’ convenience and 660 visses per truck and 1320 visses in 2 trucks were included. Diamond Dragon Company organizes for sales of edible oil in every week on Tuesday or Thursday. So, it is convenient and supportive for the basic needs of the staffs."

Sale in-charge, Diamond Dragon Co.,ltd, Kyaw Myo Lin said "This is the 3rd time in selling edible oil here and 1viss of edible oil is sold in ready-made bottles with 6,300 kyats here at the time when the market price is around 11,000 or 12,000 kyats. It is convenient for the public because it is sold at such an affordable price. We are trying to ensure that the public can continue to consume high-qualified oil. "

Deputy Assistant Supervisor, YCDC, Nwet Nwet Win Soe said "We, staffs are very glad for selling edible oil for us here. It is much affordable than the market price. I want to request them to come and sell edible oil once a week."

Efforts are being made to gradually expand the sale of edible oil via mobile market truck in each township.
