




Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Rector of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) Boris Nikolaevich Korobets at the University in Vladivostok, Russia on Thursday.
On the occasion, they discussed undertakings of the Far Eastern Federal University, international scholars attending in Russia, arrangement for Myanmar students if they attend further study in Russia, reviews of the rector on the discussion of the SAC Chairman Prime Minister with the topic “The importance of Myanmar in the Food Security and opportunities for investment” and the importance of food security and learning advanced education by Myanmar scholars in many universities in the western part of Russia.
They also exchanged views on plan to dispatch scholars to study postgraduate medical sciences at the FEFU, cooperation in promoting education sector as bilateral relations and business relations are boosted, arrangements by the University if students from Myanmar trainees attend the course and plan to sign an agreement between the FEFU and the Yangon University of Foreign Languages of Myanmar soon.
After the meeting, the Prime Minister and the rector of the University exchanged commemorative gifts. The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) was established in 1899 and it has been around for 123 years.
The university is conducting regional and international subjects, business, management, academic, engineering, humanitarian assistance, law, medical and natural environment conservation subjects.
The university is under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and there are about 41,000 students.
During the visit of SAC Chairman Prime Minister, cooperation among the universities including dispatching scholars of medical science from Myanmar and education promotion is discussed.
