Agriculture Development: Seed Farm inspected, and meeting with farmers

Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Tin Htut Oo inspected HsinShweKyar-2 Pedigree Plantation for seed extraction of SiPin Agriculture Research Farm in Yamethin Township of Mandalay Region on 2nd September.

The Union Minister stressed the needs to make seed extraction process systematically and a wide range of distribution.

In meeting with local farmers from Meikhtila, Thazi, WinTwin and Mahlaing Townships at Meikhitla District Agriculture Department Office, the Union Minister discussed that the Government is implementing for food sufficiency and welfare of the people and promoting the social status of farmers.

The Government is also providing assistance for contract farming system to cultivate summer and Mung Bean in this cultivating season.

He said cotton cultivation will be added in the coming season since the clothing needs is also the essential one. He called for preparations by the farmers and private entrepreneurs for the success of the plan.

The Union Minister and party later inspected the process of cotton mill and cotton oil mill which is operating as a small business enterprise.
