Skills Enhancement: Engineering Economics training Course Opened

The Engineering Economics training course was opened for the skills enhancement for the engineering officers of the Ministry of Industry on Thursday.

At the ceremony Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than said that the Ministry of Industry is mainly responsible for the development of the country's industrial sector and supporting for economic development.He urged engineering officers to systematically study the lessons taught in the course and to apply them effectively in the practical field.  He also called for the trainees to try hard for improving performance skills of the Ministry and to serve dutifully the task assigned by the State.

Then, the Union Minister for Science and Technology DrMyoTheinKyaw and therector of Yangon University explained about arrangement for opening the Engineering Economics course and necessary trainings for the Ministries.

The Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of Yangon Technological University will teach engineering economics course online for 10 weeks with 4 hours of teaching time per week to carry out production processes in line with the market economic system.

In the evening, the Union Minister for Industry met the staffs of Myanma Pharmaceutical Industry Enterprise and stressed the needs on making plans for procurement processes to ensure that there is no shortage of raw materials in order to produce medicines on time, maintenance of machines manufacturing medicines and handover of pharmaceutical producing techniques.
