COVID-19 Update: 104 new COVID-19 Cases Reported On August 31

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 104 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Wednesday after testing 9,353 patients within 24 hours.

1 COVID-19 positive patient died due to the disease while 48 patients have recovered. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 615,221 with 19,438 deaths and 593,615 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals. The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Korea, Italy, Russian Federation and Japan, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 6:03pm CEST, 31 August 2022, there have been over 599 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.46 million deaths.
