Land Management: Magway Region’s Committee Discusses 43 Cases

The Magway Region’s Land Management Committee held the coordination meeting (4/2022) at the Regional Government Office in Magway Township.
In his address, Chairman of the Committee Chief Minister U Tint Lwin said that it is necessary to develop the agricultural sector, to make an all-round effort to develop agriculture-based manufacturing with modern methods, to establish a policy of disallowing construction of expanded urban projects on plain and agricultural lands, to disallow construction of staff housings, special economic zones and industrial zones on agricultural land and to prevent agricultural land from being used in other ways.
He also stressed legal actions against those who use agricultural land in other ways. In this meeting, 40 cases of applying for permission to use agricultural land in other ways and 3 cases of applying for second original (or true copy) of damaged/lost land authorization certificate (form-7) were discussed, verified, approved and canceled.
