


The 20th Anniversary of World First Aid Day Ceremony 2022 will be held in the second week of September and it has been held since 2003 in Myanmar. There are four objectives to celebrate the World First Aid Day. In Myanmar, in commemoration of the World First Aid Day, 20 awards will be presented.
Prof. Dr. Htin Zaw Soe, Secretary General, Myanmar Red Cross Society said “The 4 objectives are to develop the first aid skills through quiz competitions, to promote resistibility of accidental risks by first aid skills, to award outstanding people who actively participated in the first aid works and to highlight the role of young members of the Red Cross Society. It is essential for everyone to know first aid and I want to urge the public to learn.”
This year, Myanmar will celebrate the World First Aid Day with three kinds of competitions - essay, painting and quiz. First to fourth prizes will be awarded at the essay competition and first to 3rd prizes at the painting competition and quiz. In addition, there will be other awards including the best first aider award.
The second Saturday in September was set as the World First Aid Day and first aid training has been given across the world.
