
Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement launched a training course for staff of rehabilitation centers to help drug-quitters.
During the training course opening ceremony at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing highlighted the important role of the rehabilitation center staff and stressed that it is very important for service providers to be full of capacity in the rehabilitation of drug-quitters so that they will be prevented from drug abuse again. Individualized rehabilitation of drug-quitters, group psychosocial counseling and physical rehabilitation are important.
The Union Minister also urged trainees to improve their skills through self-learning as well according to their subjects. This 5-day training is set to take place till the 2nd of September. The Ministry has 14 rehabilitation centers taking care of the drug-quitters across the country.
