Outstanding Awards: Students who passed exams with distinctions honoured

The outstanding students who passed 2022 matriculation exams with distinctions were honoured at a ceremony, held in Taunggyi of Shan State on Saturday.

Chief Minister Dr Kyaw Tun said implementations for promoting the education sector have been carrying out by laying down the long-term plans.

Despite the closure of schools due to COVID-19 outbreak, the basic education schools have been reopened in line with the disease preventive measures.

Although there was short period of learning time, numbers of students passed with distinctions as a result of the concerted efforts made by the students and teachers.

There are altogether 308 students who passed the matriculation exams with distinctions. 23.15 million kyats cash prizes were awarded to 6 six-distinction students, 25 five-distinction students, 50 four-distinction students and 227 three-distinction students.
