Sustainable Mechanized Farming: Deputy Minister Makes A Field Trip

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation DrAungGyi met sun flower growers in Sae Pin Gyi village-tract of Nay Pyi Taw Zeyathiri Township on 16th July and discussed the use of quality sunflower seeds, high yield for the famers, the use of input fertilizers and operating of modern farm implements as well as observed HsinNay Kyarsunflower (2) plantation.

The edible oil crops cultivation are being expanded for the sufficiency of edible oil in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area and over 28,000 acres of peanut, 63,000 acres of sesame and more than 2,900 acres of sun flowers could be cultivated.

From there, the Deputy Minister attended opening of farm implement reparing and operating trainings of the Agricultural Mechanization Department in Pyinmana Township and looked into repairing of farmers-owned agricultural machinery. During the inspection, the Deputy Minister called for applying fully the competence skills to help effectively farmers by performing farm implement demonstrations and reclamation of mechanized farming system.
