



With the aims of boosting home business industries and to be able to stand for the livelihood, the schools of home science of Department of Social Welfare opened the training of Trainers programs for respective regions and states.
The Department of Social Welfare opens 10 training schools in respective regions and states and these training schools conduct vocational trainings for the capacity building of the trainers.
Win Mar Oo, Assistant Director, School of Home Science (Yangon) said “As our school of home science, we opened tailoring of shirts and coats. It is 1-month course from 1st to 28th June of one month. The next one is the basic knittingand embroidery course from 29th June to 11th July. And we also conducted floral arrangement class for 2 weeks. 26 trainingof trainers from regions and states attended the courses. We hope the courses will support for the income generation of the trainees.”
In training courses, they provided the tailoring of modern coats and floral arrangements to the trainees.
Win Mar Oo, Assistant Director, School of Home Science (Yangon) said “We sew formal and double coats by applying cm tailoring technique. As these are training of trainer programs, the courses will upgrade the skills of the trainers from respective regions and states. We will open another course no.3/2022 on 25th July and we’d like to the trainees who are interested in these course to join the program.”
In the occasion, the department presented certificates to 26 training of trainers from regions and states for capacity building.
