Drugs Seizures: Illegal Drugs Worth Over 280 Million Kyats Seized

Illegal drugs, a pistol and bullets were seized in the eastern Shan State. In Kengtung and Tachileik townships of the State, over 500,000 stimulant tablets, 6 kilograms of ICE, 170 tablets and 80 grams of Ecstasy, 30 grams of Ketamine and 120 grams of Happy Water worth over 280 million Kyats were seized along with a pistol and bullets.

The seizures led to arrests of 5 men. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken against the suspects in line with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
