

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement launched digital literacy training for new staff officers at the Ministry on Tuesday.
At the ceremony, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine said that the government has established Myanmar National Portal including Ministries and Region/State Governments. The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement is issuing information and services in the Myanmar National Portal.
The Ministry has also established a web portal itself for issuing news, services, policies, educative sectors, records and public services in real time. The staff from the Ministry needs to understand the digital literacy technical knowledge and by applying e-Government system, it will benefit for operating smoothly the Government mechanism, having save time and money, transparency, reducing corruption, accelerating the country development, easily survey on public response and lessening the gap between the government and the people. She stressed the needs on emphasizing on data security in the Ministry and conducting ICT ethics in the training.
Later, Deputy Minister U Aung Tun Khaing gave a speech. The training would be conducted 4th to 18th July by in person and virtually and 19 new officers from the departments under the Ministry are attending the course.
