Inspection tour: Union Minister inspected DISI and Steel Factory

The Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than inspected district and state Directorate of Industrial Supervision and Inspection in Ayethaya Industrial Zone, Taunggyi and Shan State in the morning on July 2.

First, the director general clarified the status of industrial zones in Shan State, giving service of registration for private industrial enterprises, safety inspection to boiler and electrical usage and providing assistance for the development of micro, small and medium enterprises.

In responding to the clarification, the Union Minister gave necessary instruction regarding reviewing and compiling the progress of each industrial zone, making records of progress situations of production by the industries and carry out review quarterly.

In the evening, the union minister arrived at No (2) Steel Factory (Pinpet) and met with the staff members at the meeting room.

At the meeting, the officials concerned clarified the work process of Waste Heat Boiler and the union minister explained on the questions of the staff.

In the morning on July 3rd, the acting mill in-charge and officials reported the completion of repairing machinery parts and arrangements to be done to resume the operation of the factory.

Regarding with the clarification, the union minister instructed to make effort for producing pig iron which is vital to produce the iron and steel, purchasing the equipments to measure the chemical and physical contents of iron and steel, keeping the replica designs and detailed charts of the parts of Waste Heat Boiler, drawing plan for the human resource development and opening training to hand over the technology to produce the crude iron and the machine control system.

Afterward, the union minister inspected the machinery and electronic compliances in the Romelt Shop, Waste Heat Boiler, 2 Lift Pump House, Ore Preparation Unit, Air Separation Unit.
