Agriculture Development: Model agriculture plantations to be established in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is planning to establish model agriculture plantations in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.

On 2nd July, Union Minister U Tin Htut Oo inspected the work processes at 100-acre paddy plantation in Thittat Village of Zeyathiri Township crop plantations in Lewe Township.

During 2021-2022, over 170,000 acres monsoon paddy plantations, about 28,000 summer paddy plantations and over 320,000 acres crops plantations were cultivated.

The ministry is striving to provide modern agriculture methods to farmers for boosting production by establishing the model plantations.
