Illegal Trade: Illegalgoods, Fuel Oil And Timber Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of June, undeclared various sandals,toiletries and car tyres, illegal foodstuffs, consumer goods, electronics, pharmaceutical raw materials and auto parts, unlicensed motorboats, undocumented cartons of various snacks andillegal cartons of beers, frozen meat, fuel oil and timberwere seized at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint and in Muse Township, in Magway Township, at the Letpanhla-Singu temporary checkpoint, at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) Combined Checkpoint, as well as in Shwebo and Taze townships and Yedashe Township. In total, illegal goods, fuel oil and timber worth over 296 million Kyats were seized on the 26th, 27th, 28th and 29th of June. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
