Regional Development: Union Minister makes inspections in Mon State

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Development of Rural Areas U Hla Moe inspected regional development works in Mon State.

First, the Union Minister inspected the completed water access project in KanPhyu Village of Paung Township implemented by the Department of Rural Development funded by the rural development project and locals for 217 households.

In the area, the Union Minister inspected paddy fields and gave necessary instructions. The Union Minister continued his inspection trip to the Mawlamyaing Cooperative Accounting Training School and held talks with trainees.

This training school offers a 2-year cooperative accouting course for those who pass the Grade-9 exam. There, the Union Minister heard reports and called for efforts to create job opportunity for those complete the course and to turn out more trainees and provide them with necessary assistance.

Also, the Union Minister met with Mon State Chief Minister U Zaw Lin Tun and held a discussion on cooperative matters, small industrial enterprise and rural development works.
