Outstanding Athletes Honoured: Medalists at SEA Games from Bago Region awarded

Bago Region Government on 23rd June, presented honourary awards to the outstanding athletes who won prizes in the sports competitions of South East Asia Games at the Township Hall of Bago Township.

A total of 9 athletes and 5 coaches were presented cash awards and honorary certificates at a ceremony. Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win congratulated the athletes, saying that the achievements of the athletes represented the region and bring the prestige of the country show the competitive and patriotic spirit of the athletes and urged to make strenuous efforts for the 32nd SEA Games and the region government will provide necessary assistances.

Next, the Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Region Chief Justice Daw Lwin Lwin Aye Kyaw, cabinet members and deputy commander of 77th Light Infantry Division awarded cash awards and honorary certificates to the athletes who won the gold, silver and bronze medela.

A total of 10.50 million kyats, one million kyats each of gold medalists, 700,000 kyats each for  silver medalists and 500,000 kyats each for bronze medalists and 500,000 kyats each for coaches were awarded during the ceremony.
