




The effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade under the law supervised by the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
Under the instructions of the Chairman of the Anti-Illicit Trade Task Force, an on-duty team made inspections on 20 and 21 June and seized cosmetics which were not mentioned in the Import Declaration (ID) at the Yangon International Airport Warehouse on 20 June and 950 kilogrammes of suspected metal powder which were different from the Import Declaration (ID) at the Myanmar Industrial Port Container Checkpoint on 21 June.
Similarly, inspections were carried out under the supervision of the Kayin State Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force on 22 June and captured the foodstuffs and consumer goods which exceeded the value of Import Declaration (ID) at Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint.
In addition, a team led by the Myanmar Police Force seized a Super Anbo motorbike in Monywa Township on 23 June.
Afterwards, the materials which were used in illegal petroleum drilling were captured in Mintaegyi Village in Minhla Township.
Similarly, the on-duty team confiscated consumer goods without official documents from a truck at the Mayanchaung Permanent Checkpoint.
Therefore, seven arrests estimated at 26.05 million Kyats were made on four consecutive days from 20 to 23 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
