Arrangements for tourists: MoHT Union Minister meets NPT Hoteliers Association

Union Minister for Hotels and Toursim Dr. Htay Aung met officials fo Nay Pyi Taw Hoteliers Association and business owners from hotels and guest houses at Thiri Mingala hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on Sunday morning.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that there are (98) hotels and guest houses that have been granted license in Nay Pyi Taw council area and currently 75 hotels and guest houses are operating.

Efforts must be made Nay Pyi Taw to be “Green, Clean and smart City" in accordance with guidelines and hotels must strive to be in line with the characteristic of the city.

In addition, regional and national certifications for health and safety protocols are being issued for the safety and security of tourists.

The Union Minister also stressed the needs on the Guest List Management System, systematic installation of security screening equipment and security awareness and alert.

The Directors General reported on health and security affairs and cooperation of the government and private sector.

The hotel and guest house business owners reported on arrangements for the accommodation of visitors and general matters on which the Union Minister coordinated the needs.

Then, the Union Minister and party inspected arrangements for clean, beautifying and greening of the hotels.
