The natural gas from Nyaungdon/Maubin oil and gas fieldsis stored at Ywama (store/distribute) stations, and is distributed to 11 CNG stations. Before the gas reach Ywama (store/distribute) stations, we also distribute it to 5 CNG stations in Htaukkyant, Hlawka, Shwe Nyaung Pin, Shwe Pyi Thar (1) and (2). After the gas reach Ywama stations, it will be further distributed to 9 CNG stations between Ywama and Thoe Kyaung Kalay through the pipelines.”
Maintenance is also made by the department if there is any defect at the stations.
General Manager, Compressed Natural Gas Department, Kyaw Thura Win said “When the spare parts for repairing the engines at the CNG stations arrive, we install them and maintain them. If the engine power decreases at certain stations, we will plan to buy new compressors and repair them according to the budget.”
