Illegal Trade: Illegal Vehicle, Items Worth Over 200 Mil Kyats Seized

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of June, unregistered vehicle, illegal timber, mobile phone accessories and clothes without official documents, undeclared industrial raw materials, Foodstuffs and consumer goods without official documents and illegal cartons of cigarettes, foodstuffs and toys were seized in Pyay township, in the forest reserve of Toungoo District, at the 16thmile checkpoint, at the Myanmar Industrial Container Port Terminal Checkpoint, at the Mayanchaung Permeant checkpoint, at the 4-mile combined checkpoint and in Sagaing Township. In total, unregistered vehicle and illegal items worth over 200 million Kyats were seized on the 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th of June. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
