Drugs Seizures: Thousands of stimulant tablets, opium seized

Illegal drugs were seized in Sagaing Region, Yangon Region, Mandalay Region and Shan State.

In Shwebo, North Dagon and Thazi townships of the Region and in Tachileik Township of the State, over 200,000 stimulant tablets and 63 kilograms of opium were seized.

5 men were arrested along with the seizures. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken against the suspects in line with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
