



The Rakhine State Stability, Peace and Development Work Coordination Committee held its meeting (2/2022) at the Ministry of Border Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday.
Chairman of the the Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, Vice Chairman-1 Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, Vice Chairman-2 Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine, deputy ministers and officials attended the meeting.
At the meeting, the Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung discussed accelerating repatriation and resettlement for displaced persons, matters for their livelihoods, education and health and invited effective suggestions on the project activities being drawn by the region socio-economic development work committee for the development of Rakhine State and future plans.
He urged relevant ministries and Rakhine State Government to coordinate for stability, peace and development in the state. Vice Chairman-1 of the Committee Union Minister U Ko Ko Hlaing discussed Rakhine State stability, peace and development, acceptance and resettlement of displaced persons and international cooperation.
Vice Chairman-2 Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine explained providing humanitarian assistance to returnees and resettlement process.
The relevant work committees reported on the security and the rule of law, cooperation with UN and international organizations, immigration and scrutinity of citizenship, socio-economic development in the region, providing humanitarian assistance and resettlement issues.
