Sufficient fish and prawns: Meeting with entrepreneurs from fishery & salt Industry

Rakhine State Minister of Economy U San Shwe Maung met with the entrepreneurs from fishery and salt industry at the township government guest house on 6th June, aiming to have sufficient fish and prawns for the locals in Kyauk Phyu Township and to be able to export to the international markets.

Rakhine State Economic Minister said that job opportunities can be created for the residents after finishing the deep-sea port project in Kyauk Phyu township along with the developments in the region.

And he expressed gratefulness for the success of oyster and soft-shell crab businesses that are currently breeding in Kyauk Phyu and call the Fisheries Department to share the technologies for those who want to do businesses ahead.

  Also, he urged entrepreneurs from fishery and salt industry to conduct prawns breeding and salt production by acquiring technologies from relevant departments without doing with common technology in order to expand to the international markets.

After that, head of the State Salt Industry Enterprise discussed about salt production by using modern technologies and the needs of SMEs entrepreneurs.

Then, the State Minster coordinated matters upon the discussion of technologies, difficulties, equipment to be used and investments by entrepreneurs from fishery and salt industry, as well as he urged to put collaborative efforts for the economic development in the region.
