Illegal trade: Teak, vehicles, and ceramic wares seized

An effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade in accordance with the law UNDER the supervision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.

On 4th June, the Port Inspection Team confiscated the ceramic bowls that exceeds the import declaration ID at the Myanma Industrial Port Container Inspection Station. On 5th June, an unlicensed TOYOTA Hilux (Vigo) was seized in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region under the supervision of the Anti-Trafficking Task Force.

Similarly, combined inspection teams led by Bago Region Forest Department conducted inspections in Pyu Township, Toungoo District, Bago Region, and illegal teak sawn timber were seized. Therefore, a total of three arrests (approximately 18.05 million Kyats) were made on 4 and 5 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.
