Duchess of Cambridge, Earl and Countess of Wessex attend the Buckingham Palace garden party

The Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, hosted a garden party at Buckingham Palace Wednesday.

The Queen traditionally hosts four garden parties each summer but mobility issues are keeping her from doing so this year.The annual garden parties reward those who have distinguished themselves in public service.The Queen will celebrate her Platinum Jubilee next month.
