Ukraine drivers go electric amid fuel shortages

Kyiv residents are switching to bicycles and electric vehicles as fuel shortages continue across Ukraine. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said there were "no immediate solutions" to the fuel shortages at the end of April. Queues of vehicles still can be seen at most fuel stations and drivers can purchase only 10 litres of fuel at a time. A car dealership in Kyiv recently ran out of its electric stock due to high demand. Customers in the market for an electric vehicle have to wait at least 10 days to get one. For other residents, bicycles have become essential for moving around the city as public transport hasn't fully resumed.
