New Kamyawkin Bridge: Construction Tasks Have Completed Over 70 Percent

The new Kamyawkin bridge is under construction beside the old one linking Dawei and Laung Lon in Taninthayi Region and it has completed over 70 percent. Kamyawkin bridge is on Dawei-Kamyawkin-Laung Lon road.

The old bridge has been used for 40 years and the traffic jams often happen on the way.So, the new Kamyawkin bridge has been constructed starting 16th February 2021 with the aim for easy transportation access of the people and to overcome traffic jams.

It is a type of steel structure arch bridge and the length is 1,050 feet with 24-ft motor way and 5-ft pavement. The bridge can withstand 75-ton of load and the water clearance area is 16-ft high and 164-ft wide.
