Top US, Thai diplomats huddle amid ASEAN summit

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed Thailand's top diplomat, Don Pramudwinai, to the State Department for talks as leaders from eight ASEAN nations gather for a two-day summit in Washington.

Don is Thailand's deputy prime minister in addition to serving as its top diplomat. President Joe Biden will host a dinner Thursday evening with leaders from the participating nations.

It will be the group's first meeting at the White House. Leaders will take part in more formal talks at the State Department on Friday.
